A Church Called Graffiti Graphic Novel

I adapted Taylor Field's memoir "A Church Called Graffiti" into a graphic novel. Taylor is the Director of the Graffiti Mission that serves Manhattan's Lower East Side.

It's a fish out of water story: in 1986 a pastor from the Midwest arrives with his family to Alphabet City, to serve the homeless and the community through a mission planted in a small storefront. Divinity School did not prepare Taylor for what he would encounter.

The original commissioning publisher was unable to print it, so we'll see what happens from here. Here is chapter one:
